Jaipur is a place to shop, explore and most of all EAT! Rajasthan is the hub of foodies and Jaipur is the perfect place to explore the yummy Rajasthani cuisines, which is why we bring you some of the best restaurants in Jaipur:
1)Rawat Mishthan Bhandar, Jaipur
Rajasthan is famous for its crunchy, yummy Kachoris. So, if you’re in Jaipur and in search of the best Kachoris, Rawat Mishthan Bhandar is the home of the yummiest kachoris! So much so, that we walked in sweltering heat for half an hour to get to this place! And we weren’t disappointed. Even though Delhi also has some nice places for Kachoris, Rawat Kachoris were something else! They prepare more than 10,000 kachoris daily. Their Pyaaz Kachori is out of the world! A MUST-HAVE! This is definitely one of the best restaurant in Jaipur.
2) Egg- Dee, Sanjay Omelette
Another unique place we explored in Jaipur was Egg-Dee. This small shop located in a residential complex, is actually the most famous egg restaurant in Jaipur! He makes over 150 dishes made of egg alone! From the famous Obama omelette to even a Mode inspired omelette, Sanjay has it all. He commenced this outlet in 1981 and this place has been famous ever since then. The most popular dish is the Egg Pizza, which is a combination of an egg and pizza. Even though it was a bit too heavy for our palette, this is one of the best-sellers! Sanjay omelette is easily one of the best restaurants in Jaipur
If you have to have something, that’s closer to home, Peacock Rooftop Restaurant serves the best Indian, Continental and Chinese food. Located at Hotel Pearl Palace, this place is famous for the inexpensive and delicious food that it has to offer. In addition to their huge dinner menu, this place is great for breakfast! For lunch they have some awesome thali, burgers and pizzas as well.
This is one place that’s on everyone’s mind when you mention food in Jaipur. This is where you can have authentic Rajasthani cuisine, from Daal Baati Churma to their authentic Khichdi with Gurh! They serve you with love and care, which is why this place is world famous. However, on our recent visit, we saw this place is now slightly commercial and there was no place to eat at the authentic restaurant ( the waiting was 2 hours!). Needless to say, we were pretty shocked, but I guess when the crowds are less, this is a good place to be.
