Best Cafes in Manali & Where to have the Best Himalayan Trout Fish!

If you’re in Manali & are missing out on these Cafes, then you’re missing out!! We tried the Manali specialities & we loved them ( Yes, we tried the Himalayan Trout fish!) Here’s the list of the Best Cafes in Manali:

1. Fat Plates: Hands down, the best best cafe & restaurant in Manali. Right from their ambiance & amazing outdoor seating (think a beautiful garden full of flowers & a cute cat!) to their timely service; this place makes us want to go back to Manali! Here’s what we had: Trout Fish with mustard & chilli sauce, Spaghetti in Arabiata Sauce & Fresh Fruit Crumble (OMG we died after tasting this). Trout Fish was super fresh & very different from all the other types of fish we get in Northern India. It was juicy & soft & their preparation was really good! We also specially liked the Fruit Crumble. It had apricots, mangos, blueberries as the base & was baked to perfection with a crumbly upper texture. 2) Rendez-Vous Bar & Restaurant: It was raining like crazy & we just wanted to sit in a cozy bar & have a glass of wine, this place caught our eye. Decorated with fairy lights & beautiful acoustic music wafting to the streets by a live band; our evening was made by visiting here! Many foreigners & tourists can be seen here just chilling with some drinks & food listening to amazing live music. Their service even though a bit slow, but it doesn’t matter when the ambiance is so beautiful! We had Onion Rings, local Grape Wine & Veg Hakka Noodles & Manchurian. 3) Cafe Amigo: Looking for a budget German Cafe? There can’t be any better place than this! They have such a varied menu that you will be spoiled for choice! Burgers, Pizza, Patties, freshly baked cookies, cakes & cream rolls; name anything & it’s here! What we really liked is the quality of every dish we had. The burgers had their own bakery bun & was really soft, it was served with some really nice curly fries. We also loved loved their Chocolate bracket, don’t miss out on this!! It’s the best chocolate croissant you can ever have! Their patties & peanut cookie was also really different & flavourful.

Where: Near Circuit Road, Manali

4) Drifters: Known as the best cafe in Manali for so long. This is the second time we visited it. Their interiors are really nicely done with floor seating & cozy corners. They have amazing games that you can play as well. Though it’s slightly on the costlier side, their main course, Thai Green Curry was quite good. But the portions could have been better.

5) Olive Garden: It was almost 11 & we hadn’t had any breakfast, wanting a full & nutritious breakfast, we were so glad we found this place. Located in Old Manali, they serve so many breakfast options, from Continental to Pav Bhaji & Parantha as well. I had the Continental Breakfast which had Pancakes, Fresh Fruit, Coffee, Garlic Bread & Stir fried Potato in Rosemary. If you’re looking for a breakfast place in Manali, this is it!!
