The warm smell of freshly baked cookies & chocolate flavour filled the air, this was a dream come true for the child in me: a glimpse into the biscuit factory!
When i was invited to have an Experiential session to the biscuit factory, i jumped with joy. As an avid lover of all things sweet, this was something i couldn’t miss at all! Me and Harry left early in the morning super- enthusiastic to reach the Anmol Biscuit Factory. Here we were greeted by the warm staff of the company, who made us feel comfortable.
Our tour began with telling us how the base is made. The Maida & Sugar combine to make the dough which is churned a number of times before it’s spread out flat. Approximately six layers of the dough make one biscuit. The layers are then cut out in the shape of biscuits. All these huge machines are almost fully automated. It’s a miracle to see how much work goes into making one little biscuit.
After the dough is cut out, the biscuits are sent to the oven which are over 250 degrees hot. We could feel the heat in the air, but we could also smell the lovely cookies baking in the giant ovens. We were then treated to the freshest biscuits we have ever had, right out of the oven!
There are different machines for the sweet & the salty biscuits. Next, the cream biscuits are assembled & assorted. The cream is also freshly made. After which all the biscuits are packed & sealed, before being packed into containers & being sent out to SuperMarts for sale.
Anmol Industries Limited has undertaken a major rebranding initiative to cater to a wider market in India. It has also recently roped in actor, Akshay Kumar as their brand ambassador to help in creating greater awareness of the brand. Anmol has undergone a complete change in terms of logo and packaging, to be seen as a young contemporary Indian brand, which is in line with the aspirations of the youth.

July 19, 2017 at 9:42 pmI have to say I am feeling super jealous right now! Just kidding! But yes, visiting a biscuit factory is indeed a childhood dream and glad you could witness the process. As a kid I used to wonder if they ever send me to a biscuit factory, I would finish all their biscuits!
