What?
The Flying Tuk Tuk Cafe is a new entry into the South East Asian restaurant space in Delhi/NCR. We were invited for a food review at the cafe & we were mighty impressed! The decor, food, presentation all blew our mind!
We got talking to the restaurant owner, Mr. Mohit Sharma. He has worked in the hotel industry for the last 20 years. The idea for Flying Tuk Tuk originated from the fact that from Afghanistan all the way to Bali in Indonesia , one thing that is common is Street Food and Tuk Tuk’s or Auto Rickshaws. The restaurant brings street food all across south east Asia under one roof.
Affordable pricing & eclectic decor!
Flying Tuk Tuk has managed to mix quality food & easy pricing together. We must say, it’s a fantastic combination! The prices are almost 30% cheaper than Mamagato & 25% cheaper than Yum Yum China and other counterparts.
There is a nice & open dining space with a capacity to accommodate 130 guests at a time. There’s an indoor area and terrace seating also. You also eat in a tuk-tuk! The entire decor has a personal touch to it, from the murals on the walls to the cutlery, it reminds one of different cultures of Asia.
Best South East Asian starters!
They have a huge array of starters with street foods from almost every country in South East Asia. Below are some of our shining stars from their menu:
Tom Yum Soup: Very yummy, lots of pieces of meat and very flavorful because of the herbs and spices in it.
Chili Chicken Bao : Very nicely done bao. Sweet on the outside and spicy chicken on the inside. Very tasty.
Sticky whole chicken wings – This was absolutely delicious. The sauces on the chicken wings made it so juicy and tasty. You keep licking your fingers.
Malaysian lamb rendang and Sticky Rice – Well cooked lamb with sticky rice complemented each other as a main course dish.
Fried Chocolate Bar with Ice Cream – What a combination! The warm sweet chocolate with cold vanilla ice cream. Mix both and you feel you have reached heaven.
Where?
It is located in Sohna Road Gurgaon, which is more of an upcoming workplace in Gurgaon. Since there’s less competition here, Flying Tuk Tuk is getting notices & fast! Compared to the breweries in Sector 29, Gurgaon market, Flying Tuk Tuk gives a different dining experience.
